From November 15th to 18th, the "First China Cytoskeleton Frontier Academic Conference" hosted by the Chinese Society of Cell Biology and hosted by Zhuhai Campus of Beijing Normal University was held in Zhuhai Campus. The chairman of the conference was Professor Pan Junmin, professor of Tsinghua University, president of the Cell Structure and Cell Behavior Branch of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology, and Professor Ren Haiyun, professor of Beijing Normal University and vice chairman of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology. More than 160 representatives from more than 20 colleges and universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including experts, scholars, graduate students and business people, attended the meeting. Professor Ren Haiyun presided over the opening ceremony.
Professor Wang Shoujun, Vice President of Beijing Normal University, gave a welcome speech. He said that the Zhuhai campus is built in accordance with the "one body and two wings" school-running pattern of Beijing Normal University and the principle of "high standards, new mechanisms, and internationalization". It is hoped that this academic conference will focus on the development needs of the national natural sciences and face the academic frontier. Carry out high-level scientific research with originality and guidance, so as to promote the Double First-Class discipline construction in the school and promote the economic prosperity of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.
Prof. Lou Anru, Dean of the School of Life Sciences of Beijing Normal University, and Mr. San Jinghui, Deputy Director of Zhuhai Science and Technology Bureau, and Professor Pan Junmin, Chairman of the General Assembly, delivered speeches respectively. Yang Mu, the person in charge and vice chairman of the Party group of Zhuhai Association for science and technology, and Professor Liu jingling, the vice president of the Institute of natural sciences in Zhuhai Campus of Beijing Normal University attended the opening ceremony.
43 experts were invited to make a theme report at this conference, which covers 8 cutting-edge research contents, including cytoskeleton structure and transport, signal and response, skeleton and disease, skeleton and dynamics, skeleton and development, cilia, cell division, new technology, etc. The participants spoke highly of the seminar and thought that the contents of the report reflected the highest level of research in this field in China. The representatives discussed enthusiastically and responded positively. This conference provided and built a high-level exchange platform for domestic scholars in cytoskeleton and related fields, and promoted academic exchanges and cooperation among peers.
