Recently, International Journal of disaster risk science, an English Academic Journal developed by the international evaluation and research center of Chinese academic literature and Tsinghua University Library and published by cnki.cn (2019 Edition), was officially released. It is the English academic journal first sponsored by Beijing Normal University and organized by the Institute of disaster reduction and emergency management of the Ministry of Geosciences. International Journal of disaster risk science is once again selected as the "top 5% academic journal in China".
The annual report of international citation of Chinese academic journals has been published for 8 consecutive editions. The statistical data provided by the annual report can analyze the international influence level of Chinese independent academic journals scientifically, accurately, objectively and fairly. The annual report points out that CI, based on the influence factors and the total cited frequency, is a comprehensive evaluation index of academic influence level, which is constructed by the method of vector addition. To a certain extent, CI takes into account the history and the present, the quality and the quantity of journals, has a balanced development orientation, and effectively avoids the limitations of a single index. This year, 470 selected journals were selected as "2019 China's most internationally influential academic journal" (top 5%) and "2019 China's internationally influential excellent academic journal" (top 5% - 10%). These top journals contributed 64% of the cited frequency and 79% of the annual growth with 10% of the number of journals, and are outstanding representatives of China's science and culture "going global".
In recent years, International Journal of disaster risk science has made remarkable achievements in international construction. Free contributions continue to increase, with a high proportion of international contributions. In the past three years, the amount of international contributions has exceeded 70%, and the rejection rate in 2018 is 86%. 80% of the authors are from overseas, and more than half of them are from developed countries in North America and Europe. The latest influencing factor of the journal is 2.162, which ranks in Q2 area of JCR Geosciences and multidisciplinary.
